EFL is a programme for students from diverse language and cultural backgrounds and who have little or no exposure to the English Language. This course integrates listening, speaking, writing and reading skills for effective communication. Students who pass EFL examinations would have their qualifications recognised by universities, employers and national education authorities in many countries. Students who enrol in EFL courses are encouraged to register for external examinations at each level of studies. Students who have passed level 5 successfully will be ready to enrol for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examinations.

There are altogether 5 levels in EFL courses, 3 months per level

Entry Requirements

There are no specific requirements; however all students are required to sit for a placement test to determine a suitable EFL level of studies.

Course Schedule

Mondays to Fridays from 9.00am to 12.00noon/12.00pm to 3.00pm/ 3.00pm to 6.00pm

Examinations

Registration for EFL examinations shall be in January, April and October. Examinations will be conducted in March, May/June and November/December. Students are required to pay the examination fees of approximately S$370 per examination. All examinations fees are paid directly to the external examination centre. A Certificate will be awarded by University of Cambridge when student passed an EFL level.
