The IELTS is an internationally recognised and globally respected test of English. It is a highly dependable, practical and valid English Language assessment primarily used by those seeking to gain admission into Institutes of Higher Learning and seeking global mobility. An IELTS score provides valuable evidence of your English Language proficiency.

There are four components in IELTS. They are reading, writing, listening and speaking. The test questions and tasks have been designed to reflect the general interests of people from varied background. IELTS Preparatory Course is designed to prepare students for the IELTS test conducted by the British Council monthly. Students will learn the various question types of IELTS, and work through improving their vocabulary competence and listening skills. Ample practice using samples of IELTS tests will be offered to students.

Entry Requirements

Participants must have basic competence in grammar use and vocabulary of the English Language.

Mondays to Fridays from 9.00am to 12.00noon/12.00pm to 3.00pm/3.00pm t0o 6.00pm

Examinations

IELTS examination is conducted monthly by British Council. Registration has to be submitted to British Council at least 6 weeks before a test date. All registration is on a first-come-first served basis. Students are required to pay the examination fees of approximately S$320 per exam. All examination fees are paid directly to British Council.
