Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (DTHM)

This 12 months professional qualification was developed to prepare students to face the challenges of the Tourism and Hospitality industry. It is conferred by St James Management School.

There are a total of 8 modules. Modules are specially designed to provide students with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the knowledge and training required as a professional personnel in the tourism and hospitality business. The compulsory industry attachment module will also offer students opportunities to apply what they learned in real life work situations in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Progression Path After Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management
All successful graduates of DHTM may gain direct admission into Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management programme offered by St James Management School.

Progression Path After Obtaining an Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management
All successful graduates of Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management will gain direct admission to degree studies.

Introduction to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Food and Beverage Operations
Customer Care and Service Quality in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Tourism and Hospitality Business Environment
Accommodation and Front Office Operation Marketing for the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
Cost and Financial Accounting for Hospitality Industry Industry Attachment

Entry Requirements
Minimum of 5 GCE ‘O’ levels or equivalent

Course Schedule:
Mondays to Fridays from 9.00am to 12.00noon/12.00pm to 3.00pm/3.00pm to 6.00pm

Examinations
The Diploma course is conducted in modular structure. Therefore examinations are conducted at the end of each module throughout the year.
